This is an appeal of a denial of a request for habeas corpus relief. The case arises out of an incident in which appellant is alleged to have fired a shotgun at two police officers, striking and killing one (Serna), but missing the other (Ayala). The incident occurred on September 11, 1984, and appellant was indicted for capital murder in the death of Officer Serna on September 17, 1984. A jury found appellant guilty of voluntary...
