Appellant Robert Martin Talancon was convicted upon jury verdict of one count each of first degree murder and robbery with the use of a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with the possibility of parole for his first degree murder conviction, and to two consecutive seven year prison terms for his conviction of robbery with the use of a deadly weapon.
