This is an appeal from a divorce decree entered in the Family Court in which the trial justice granted the husband's petition and the wife's cross-petition for absolute divorce based upon irreconcilable differences that had caused the irremediable breakdown of the marriage.1 The husband appeals from the court's assignment of property and from the award of alimony and counsel fees to the wife.
