After being indicted by the East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury on the charge of distribution of cocaine, Edwin Jerome McShane, 23, was convicted by a jury of possession of cocaine in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:964, Schedule II(A)(4), and 40:967 C.1 He was subsequently sentenced to serve five years at hard labor.
