Defendant Donald Herbert Windfelder was convicted of understating his income in his 1978 federal income tax return, in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7201, and of understating the estate of his deceased aunt, Lauretta Windfelder, in preparing her estate tax return, in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7206(1).
