Alvin D. Young was indicted for capital murder, to-wit: the murder of Donald R. Brock during robbery in the first degree, a violation of § 13A-5-40(a)(2), Code of Alabama (1975). He was convicted of said charge, and sentenced according to the jury's recommendation to life imprisonment without parole.
