ALFORD, Judge.

Edward Lee Spencer, Jr., was charged by bill of information with cruelty to a juvenile, a violation of La.R.S. 14:93. Defendant pled not guilty and, after waiving his right to a jury trial, was tried by judge alone and found guilty as charged. The court sentenced defendant to serve eighteen months imprisonment at hard labor and to pay a five hundred dollar fine plus all court costs and, in default of payment of the fine, to serve an additional six months...
