Defendant, Joseph "Pie" Guidry, pleaded guilty to the crime of aggravated battery and was sentenced to ten (10) years imprisonment at hard labor pursuant to LSA-R.S. 14:34. The defendant appealed his sentence. We vacated the sentence and remanded for resentencing in compliance with La.C.Cr.P. art. 894.1(C). See State v.
