This is an appeal from a denial of a writ of habeas corpus brought pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Michael Salisbury was accused of committing a forcible rape on March 6, 1979, and simple kidnapping (of a different victim) on March 7, 1979. On April 2, 1979, he was indicted for these offenses.
