This writ involves a wrongful death and survival action alleging medical malpractice. On December 9, 1982 Mrs. Emmarrett Brown sought help at Charity Hospital for labor pains, was sent home with a prescription for a yeast infection and returned several hours later in hard labor. She gave birth to her son by means of vaginal breech delivery after hours of labor. The child died in about one hour. She was informed of his death on December...
