The defendant, Aaron Lee Free, was charged with attempted armed robbery in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 and 14:64. A Caddo Parish jury found him guilty as charged by unanimous vote and he was subsequently sentenced to serve 25 years at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
