The dissolution proceeding of Hope and Louis Surrett came to trial on October 10, 1985. The court found that Hope Surrett, respondent was the primary caretaker of the parties' six-year-old daughter Jessica Surrett. The court awarded the permanent care and custody of the child to respondent on November 5, 1985.
