This case was consolidated for argument with Lippard v. Houdaille Industries, Inc., 715 S.W.2d 491 (Mo. banc 1986) adopted this day.

The plaintiff brought an action to recover for the loss of her hand, which was crushed in a seamer machine manufactured by the defendant Tool and Machinery Builders, Inc., and sold to the plaintiff's employer. This machine attaches and seals tops or bottoms to cans....
