A grand jury returned five indictments charging the defendant with rape of a child and three indictments charging him with indecent assault and battery on a child under fourteen years of age. The indictments named two victims. The defendant moved to suppress the alleged victims' testimony. A judge ruled that the victims' testimony constituted "fruit of the poisonous tree," see Wong Sun v. United States...
