OPINION

GERALD J. WEBER, District Judge.

Plaintiff brings this appeal from an adverse decision on his application for disability insurance benefits. 42 U.S.C. § 405(g). He has satisfied all the jurisdictional prerequisites for filing suit in the district court. Pursuant to our customary order, the parties have filed cross-motions for summary judgment which we now address.
