Appellant James Carver was convicted by a Ramsey County District Court jury of three counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct, Minn.Stat. § 609.342, (a) (Supp. 1985), and four counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct, Minn.Stat. § 609.343, (a) (Supp.1985).
