In defendant's first Assignment of Error she contends that the court erred in denying defendant's motion for a continuance. We do not agree.

Rule 40(b), N.C. Rules Civ.P., states, in pertinent part, "A continuance may be granted only for good cause shown and upon such terms and conditions as justice may require."
