Plaintiff, Tyronne Thompkins, instituted this suit for total and permanent disability benefits, and penalties and attorney's fees under the Louisiana Worker's Compensation statutes. Named defendants were his employer, Sewell Plastics, Inc., and its compensation insurer, National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
