Cross-appellant, Bernard Hammer, served as attorney for plaintiff, Michelle Coltman, for nine months during the pendency of her divorce from defendant, Bertram Coltman, Jr. After Michelle discharged Hammer and substituted new counsel, Hammer petitioned for payment of his fees.
