The victim testified for the State and identified the defendant as the person who came to her apartment around 7:30 p.m. on 19 December 1983. She said that he identified himself as "Eddie" when he knocked on her apartment door, and when she opened the door, she recognized him as John Ed, a hairdresser friend of her roommate's.
