St. Charles General Hospital appeals a finding that it was negligent to a patient and claims the award of $80,000 plus $21,022.80 for medical expenses was excessive.

FACTS

Izola Smith testified she was in a four person room in St. Charles General on October 5, 1983 recovering from knee surgery. Ms. Smith said four full bedpans had not been replaced (overnight) so she buzzed for assistance...
