OPINION

BRYNER, Chief Judge.

Otis Richey was convicted by a jury of assault in the second degree, in violation of AS 11.41.210(a). The offense is a class B felony. AS 11.41.210(b). As such, it is punishable by a maximum term of ten years' imprisonment. A second felony offender convicted of the offense is subject to a presumptive term of four years' imprisonment. AS 12.55.125(d). Superior Court Judge J. Justin Ripley presided over Richey's sentencing hearing...
