The appellant, David A. Bovill, was charged with first degree sexual assault of a child in violation of Neb.Rev.Stat. § 28-319(1)(c) (Reissue 1985). This is a Class II felony punishable by not less than 1 nor more than 50 years' imprisonment. He thereafter appeared in district court and entered a plea of guilty.
