Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc. ("Merrill Lynch") petitions to vacate an arbitration award in favor of Jack Bobker on the ground that it is in "manifest disregard of the law." Bobker, a customer of Merrill Lynch for 18 years, was a sophisticated trader in the stock market at the time of the events which were the subject of the arbitration proceeding.
