The plaintiffs in this action have attempted to file suit against the United States pursuant to the Federal Tort Claims Act seeking recovery for injuries Mr. Nelson suffered in January, 1985 when he slipped and fell on a patch of ice and snow in the parking lot adjacent to the Battle Creek Post Office.
