Appellants are deputy sheriffs ("Deputies") of Lake County, Montana. Each Deputy separately filed a complaint stating, among other things, a wage claim against respondent Lake County ("Lake County") seeking payment for overtime hours worked. Their individual claims were consolidated by the Lake County District Court. The Deputies seek $1,389,021.60 in overtime, penalties, interest and attorney's fees from Lake County.
