This is an appeal from the common pleas court of a jury verdict finding Richard Carlson, defendant-appellant, guilty of felonious assault with a gun specification. The following facts give rise to this appeal.

It is undisputed that Richard Carlson shot Joe Thompson on December 8, 1983. Carlson was tending bar in the OxBow Saloon at the time of the shooting. Joe Thompson was the only other person on the premises. Thompson testified that the defendant...
