The defendant, Michael P. Kane, appeals his conviction of one count of arson in the first degree in violation of Neb.Rev.Stat. § 28-502(1) (Reissue 1985). The defendant alleges the district court erred in denying the defendant's motions for directed verdict at the close of the State's case and at the conclusion of all the evidence.
