In March 1984, appellants, Don Saltou and Barbara Hoppner, sued their insurer, Dependable Insurance Company, its agents, Richard L. Thissen d/b/a Thissen Insurance Agency, and Patrick D. Champion, for compensatory and punitive damages for respondents' failure to pay a claim.
