OPINION

BUTTS, Justice.

This is an appeal from a conviction for the offense of theft by receiving. TEX.PENAL CODE ANN. § 31.03(a), (b)(2) (Vernon Supp.1986). After a jury verdict of guilty, the court assessed punishment at five years' imprisonment.
