SNURKOWSKI v. COM.

Record No. 0203-85.

341 S.E.2d 667 (1986)

Robin Dean SNURKOWSKI v. COMMONWEALTH of Virginia.

Court of Appeals of Virginia.

Decided March 18, 1986.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Ferris B. Wafle, Fredericksburg, for appellant.

Donald R. Curry, Asst. Atty. Gen. (William G. Broaddus, Atty. Gen.; W. Mark Dunn, Asst. Atty. Gen., on brief), for appellee.

Present: DUFF, MOON and COLE, JJ.

COLE, Judge.

This appeal raises two issues: (1) whether the trial court abused its discretion in refusing to grant appellant's motion made on the morning of the trial for another psychological evaluation of the appellant; and (2) whether the appellant was denied due process of law by the trial court's failure to appoint a psychiatrist to conduct an appropriate examination and assist in evaluating, preparing, and presenting his defense.1
