OPINION OF THE COURT

PAPADAKOS, Justice.

Lawrence Christy was found guilty by a jury of murder of the first degree for the killing of James Volk. A sentencing hearing was held as required by 42 Pa.C.S. § 97111 and the jury determined that Lawrence Christy be sentenced to death.

The case is now before us on automatic appeal pursuant to 42 Pa.C.S. § 9711(h)(1).2
