Lydia G. Hickman sued Nathaniel G. Tippit, M.D., for medical malpractice and fraud and joined as a defendant Park North General Hospital. She alleged that the hospital was negligent in granting Tippit hospital privileges. Judgment was rendered on a jury verdict against Tippit and the hospital, jointly and severally, for the sum of $38,250.00 for actual damages.
