Plaintiff's decedent, Joseph F. Zino, was a fire fighter employed by the New York City Fire Department. On September 15, 1979, Mr. Zino approached an electrical outlet in the kitchen area of the firehouse to which he was assigned, with the stated intention of removing a coffee pot plug therefrom.
