With respect to petitioner's 1981 Federal income tax, respondent determined a deficiency of $8,429, an addition to tax under section 6653(a)(1)1 of $421, and an addition to tax under section 6653(a)(2) equal to 50 percent of the statutory interest due on the deficiency.
