The appellant, Wesley Mead, was indicted on two charges of attempted murder arising out of a shooting at his residence. The indictments were consolidated pursuant to A.R.Crim.P.Temp. 15.3. The jury convicted him of the lesser included offenses of second degree assault in one case, in which the appellant's ex-wife was the victim, and first degree assault in the other case, in which her boyfriend was the victim.
