OPINION

SCHULTE, Justice.

This is an appeal from a conviction for murder. Appellant pled guilty to the court and punishment was assessed at thirty-five years imprisonment. We affirm.

Appellant was accused of the fatal stabbing of his mother, Glenda Miles, on October 8, 1982. Ground of Error No. Fourteen contends that he was denied his constitutional and statutory rights to a speedy trial. Barker v. Wingo, 407 U.S. 514
