The defendant, Joseph L. Fico, was charged with the offenses of residential burglary and criminal damage to property. He was found guilty of both offenses in a bench trial and sentenced to 12 years' imprisonment on the burglary conviction. He was not sentenced on the criminal-damage-to-property conviction. On appeal, defendant contends that he was not proved guilty...
