Plaintiff has commenced this action in medical malpractice to recover for personal injuries sustained during the course of a vaginal myomectomy which she underwent at New York Hospital. Defendant is alleged to have mistaken plaintiff's uterus for a myoma and surgically "morselated" it, causing uncontrollable hemorrhaging during the surgical procedure.
