Lyman B. Thompson, a defendant in a Louisiana state criminal case, was charged with one count of incest and with three counts of aggravated crime against nature. The bill of information alleged that these crimes had been committed on Thompson's 15-year-old daughter and two sons and had occurred "between January 1, 1977 and October 15, 1979." Pursuant to a plea bargain, Thompson pleaded guilty to two charges, incest and aggravated crime...
