On January 15, 1985, defendant, Lawrence Hickey, entered a plea of guilty in the circuit court of Champaign County to the offense of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 95 1/2, par. 11-501(a).) A sentencing hearing was held on February 28, 1985. Defendant agreed to abide by a sentence of intensive probation should such a sentence be imposed...
