The defendant, Earl Huffman, was charged by bill of information with aggravated battery in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:34.1 After waiving his right to trial by jury, the defendant was found guilty as charged by the trial judge. The defendant's motion for new trial was denied on January 20, 1984. On that same date, the defendant was sentenced to ten years at hard labor with credit for time served and ordered to pay seventy...
