Spalding County Deputy Sheriff James M. Tarver, Sr., was struck and killed by a truck driven by appellee Mark Martin and owned by appellee Tommy Martin. Surviving Tarver were his sons, appellants James M. Tarver, Jr., and Jeffrey T. Tarver, and two women claiming to be his widow, appellants Mary Banks Tarver and Revia Bivens Tarver. Each of the women, as well as the two sons, filed a separate action against appellees for the wrongful death of the decedent...
