At the close of all the evidence in this jury trial on claims of negligence and violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1983, the District of Columbia moved for directed verdict as to itself and the only other defendant, Lt. Robinson. The motion was granted as to Robinson and was taken under advisement as to the District pursuant to Fed.R.Civ.P. 50(b), awaiting the jury verdict.
