This is a suspensive appeal by defendants, Gird Lee, St. Charles Parish Police Jury, and United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company from a judgment awarding plaintiff, Charlotte Champagne, $1,000,000 in general damages and $7,000 lost wages (past due and future) for a back injury she received in an auto collision with a vehicle owned by the Parish and driven by Lee.
