The defendant was charged with attempted murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a (a), with assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59 (a) (1), and with criminal use of a firearm in violation of Public Acts 1981, No. 81-342, § (1) (a), in a single information which contained separate counts for each offense.
