The State appeals the trial court's dismissal of an information charging Mary E. Bryce and Wolfe W. Bryce with a violation of the welfare fraud statute, RCW 74.08.331. The basic issue is whether the State may be permitted to amend its information to set forth an amount of public assistance allegedly unlawfully obtained, to bring the charge within the applicable statute of limitations.
