GLASSMAN, Justice.

Robert Alan Chapman, the defendant, appeals from a judgment of the Superior Court, Hancock County, entered on the jury's verdict finding him guilty of manslaughter in violation of 17-A M.R.S.A. § 203 (1983). The defendant alleges the trial court erred in denying several of his pretrial motions, in ruling on a number of evidentiary matters during the course of the trial, in instructing the jury, and in imposing sentence.
