The issue in this case is whether the police violated defendant's fourth amendment rights in searching his wallet as part of a search following his arrest on a bench warrant issued after he failed to appear in a family court matter. The search of the wallet resulted in the discovery of a so-called "acid blotter," which is a blotter soaked with acid, in this case L.S.D., that can be chewed and swallowed.
