The plaintiff was an employee of the defendant. On March 8, 1983, plaintiff was injured during the course of his employment. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Herring began receiving workmen's compensation benefits. On July 12, 1984, the complaint alleges, the defendant was notified by plaintiff's doctor that plaintiff could return to work on August 1, 1984.
